Gregory Itzin recently guest starred in an episode of the vaunted "Hannah Montana" series. He shows up at around the three minute mark if you wanted to skip all of that non-Gregory stuff. I would if I were you. It's not exactly high art. But still......It's Gregory!

The trailer for "Float" has finally arrived. For those not in the know, scroll down to older posts or read on. "Float" is an upcoming indie comedy(Indie-medy?) about a down on his luck Ice Cream entrepreneur who has to move in with two of his employees. The movie looks hilarious and Gregory sure has come a long way from playing a sinister President. Here is the trailer. Look for it next year.

Several of my sources have alerted me to a recent internet trend comparing the looks of our favorite fictional President with Mike Huckabee, who is running for non-fictional President. Let's have a vote. Here are some photos comparing the two gents:

Is that right? Should it be San Diegons? Or maybe San Diago-ans. Or maybe just, dudes with goat-tees and shirts made from hemp? Ooh snap. Just kidding California! You know I'm just jealous.
Anyway, our main man Gregory is appearing in an off, off, off, off, off Broadway play there. The play is called "Shipwrecked! An Entertainment - The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (As Told by Himself)." Quite a mouthful.
"A dog, a giant octopus, a pickpocket, a crusty old sea captain and a librarian are just a few of the characters in Margulies' creation, which is inspired by the true story of an unlikely hero who spellbound Victorian England, and the world, with his incredible tale. Louis de Rougemont narrates his story as he embarks on a 30-year adventure so inspiring of awe (according to Louis) it will make your pupils dilate and your pulse race," state press notes.
Geeze. A giant octopus and a pickpocket? Sounds like my last family reunion. Da dum dum.
The play runs from September 23rd until October 13th. If you are interested in buying tickets, head over to www.scr.org

Gregory just wrapped shooting the indie comedy "Float" in which he plays the owner of an ice cream shoppe(notice the fancy spelling) who is forced to move in with two of his younger employees after his wife leaves him. Sounds sort of like the Odd Couple, the Odd Triple maybe? Gregory does have a Klugman-esque air about him.
In any event, it should start shopping around to festivals soon. If all goes according to plan, you should be seeing it in your local fancy shmancy arthouse theatre(again, check the spelling) early next year. For more information, visit:

In the meantime, play this fun ice cream themed maze!
Gregory recently hosted a live streaming chat via theStream.tv. Watch as Gregory answers such deep and probing questions as "What was it like to get in all of that make up for Star Trek?" , "Was working on Firefly awesome?" and "Charles Logan: Dead or alive?".
Actually I
have been wondering about that last one. Sigh. Ok. I lay awake at night thinking of all three. I hear getting into that Star Trek make up is hellish. Click the link for the interview.

Gregory recently penned the intro to the first "America Jr." collection. He has no political affiliation, but hey he played a president on TV so that counts.
“As a huge fan of ‘24′, I’m beyond excited to have Gregory Itzin on board,” creator Nick Capetanakis says “Our pretend country - their pretend President - it’s like a match made in heaven, but available at a store near you.”
Everyone involved seems really excited by Gregory's involvement:
“We’re thrilled to have Gregory involved!” beams co-creator Todd Livingston. “He’s the ideal choice to write the book’s introduction…other than, you know, the actual President. Plus, not only was he on ‘24′, but ‘Firefly’ and three different Star Trek series, so working with him totally satisfies my inner-geek.”
The collection went on sale last week. Here is a random strip to get you going:
